Endpoints allow you to create named references to one or more policy versions. This can be useful in two main ways:

  1. Define an endpoint for your Production environment to point to the active policy version at any given time and another endpoint for your Development environment that points to a version of the policy under development. This allows you to test policies and deploy new ones live without changing your API call— simply hit the endpoint, and then when you want to switch out a policy, you can update the version of the policy associated with the endpoint in the UI.

  2. Set up an endpoint that triggers multiple policies to run together at once. This allows you to test one piece of content or one CSV file against several policies, to get multiple labels/ decisions.

Creating new Endpoints

  1. To create a new endpoint, navigate to Manage Endpoints in the main sidebar.
  2. Click the red “Create New Endpoint” button on the top right
  3. Enter a name for your endpoint (alphanumeric, underscore, and dash only)
  4. Select one or more policy versions this endpoint should point to. Endpoints can point to multiple policies for parallel evaluation.
  5. Enter an optional description of what this endpoint represents (e.g. “Production policy for moderating usernames”)
  6. Click “Create Endpoint”.

Managing and Editing Endpoint Names

Once you have created one or more Endpoint names in your Manage Endpoints section, you’ll see a table with each active Endpoint as well as an Actions section.

In the table, you can sort by each column (i.e. alphabetical by Endpoint name, or by date create, or date modified).

In the Actions section, you will see three options for each Endpoint:
